Blog Post #8 - Compare and Contrast: Two Products or Two Restaurants

     Outback Steak House VS VIPS

     Nowadays it is very popular to have dinner at family restaurants with friends or family.  There are many kinds of franchise family restaurants in Korea.  Two of them are the most popular, one is called Outback Steak House and the other is VIPS.  Many people go the restaurants because of the atmosphere and the menu of each.
     Most people think that one of the most important things is the atmosphere of the restaurants to choose where to go for family or friends getherings.  Outback Steak House offers the own servers for every three or four table.  The tables are placed individually and every server wears uniform.  Through the service customers can feel comfortable during having meals; similarly, VIPS also offers the greatest sevice to the customers.  VIPS also places the tables appropriately for customers' feelings.  And all VIPS staffs wear uniforms and they take charge of several tables for serving.  The customers who visit VIPS also can feel pleasant during their meals.  Both companies have great systems of making reparation for the customers' complains.  Also, every staff is well trained.   
     The menus of each restaurant are a bit different.  Basically, the main dishes of both restaurants are Steaks.  At Outback Steak House, customers can order the only menus of the menu.  Steak, Spagetti, Salad and some kinds of desserts; in contrast, there is salad bar at VIPS.  As a result, people can order Steaks and make some different kinds of salads and have desserts such as cakes, beverages, fruits and so on, even tacos.
     In modern society, people have much time with their family and friends at outside also prefer having meals at the restaurants together.  So that many companies compete with each other for attractions.  Consequently, you became to choose and get better services from them.  I prefer VIPS to Outback Steak House, because I can make my favorite tacos, salads and have my taste food.  Even if I have high calories food at the restaurant, I do not feel heavy in VIPS.  However, when I have meals at Outback Steak House, I sometimes feel oily and heavy.
